Secondhand Brunner Compact Harp Guitar

Save on shipping and get a deal on a nice basic model already in the U.S.!

In 2009, I sold the first Brunner "Outdoor" or Travel Harp Guitar in the United States. Along with the very first instrument commissioned by harp guitarist Philippe Fouquet, I had taken the chance and commissioned two of my own.  I lucked out, as they sounded simply amazing.  Especially for the small compact size.  Yes, as seen below, these come apart for the airline's overhead compartment!

According to the consignor (not the original owner), this beautiful instrument is in "Very Good +" condition.  The label states 2014, but the original owner says they bought it new around 2020.  Regardless, if you go today to the Brunner Guitars web site and run this model through their pricing system, you'll see that it comes to about $6600...if you pick up in Switzerland.  So, anytime I can find and offer one in the States, I'm all over it.

Just as I reviewed the original models in 2009, if you can live without the visual of a hollow arm, then get one of these, as they truly sound incredible.  The current consignor (a repeat customer of mine) has multiple high-end harp guitars and agrees with me, saying, "it's miles ahead of Timberline, Tonedevil and Emerald."

Seriously.  The bass side port might even fool you into thinking you're playing a Holloway/Worland Dyer.  And if you're not thrilled with the sound, then returning it won't be a huge issue due to its compact size.  (Spoiler alert: Of the several hundred instruments I've sold since 2006, I've had exactly one return).

So, yeah, I think you'll love it.  Yes, it has electronics (tested), and you can plug it in and blow people off the stage, but the point of the instrument - besides the incredible bullet-proof disassembly and reassembly - is that they are wonderful acoustic instruments.  You don't have to plug it in like an Emerald to feel and hear the sub-basses.

This is a consignment listing that will be shipped from North Carolina.  My full 3-day approval period applies (returnable at your expense).

I urge you to also read both my original listing on the first models (though this one is much better) and also the fascinating story behind them.

- Gregg (Sir Gregory) Miner
